Terms and Conditions of contract
If we are instructed to carry out a survey of the building to complete a Non-domestic energy assessment on the appointed property and to issue the appropriate Certificate our Terms and Conditions are outlined below.
The full survey is necessary for us to produce the Energy Performance Certificate. (E.P.C)
Any questions regarding the survey and our terms should be addressed and resolved prior to the survey being conducted.
Once the site has been attended for the purpose of survey then these terms and conditions are considered final and full payment due.
We consider that the Client will have provided us with a reasonable description of the Unit to be surveyed for us to provide a reasonable quotation for the work.
If the description is significantly inaccurate, we reserve the right to charge accordingly.
Otherwise, if we have conducted our own investigation in order to provide an accurate price we will say so within our quote.
Payment is due immediately on completion of our report and when the EPC is released.
Payment in full will be due once the site has been attended for the purpose of survey. If the survey cannot be completed for any reasonable reason i.e. Health & Safety. Such as Asbestos or obvious danger on site. If the issue cannot be immediately rectified we reserve the right to leave site and our fees will be due.
The Client must ensure that the building and all relevant areas of the site are available for inspection. Any obstruction not allowing a complete survey to be conducted may result in the survey still being payable in full and may result in excess charges being incurred if we must revisit the site to complete our work.
Any lack of information provided may result in us having to use ‘default’ information which may re}+>0sult in a poorer grade on the EPC.
It is the duty of the Client to inform us of any relevant information which may affect our health and safety on site.
Likewise we will note any matters of health and safety that come to our attention and report them to you accordingly.
If any unreasonable health and safety matters come to our attention we will have to leave the site immediately and we will not revisit the site until these matters have been addressed. Any access charges incurred will be charged along with our initial agreed fee. If the matter is not satisfactorily rectified our full fee will be due.
We will undertake the survey within a reasonable timeframe and subsequently produce the EPC and further documentation within a reasonable time frame. If there are any reasons whatsoever hindering this undertaking, we will inform the Client immediately and inform the Client of the revised delivery date and the reasons for this.
